A Chinese martial art and system of calisthenics, consisting of sequences of very slow controlled movements. Loosely translated as "supreme ultimate boxing" In Chinese philosophy it's the ultimate source and limit of reality, from which spring yin and yang and all of creation.
Tai Chi forms are a series of many movements. Learning a Tai chi form can take many months and a lifetime to master. Tai chi is considered a martial art and was developed by Shaolin monks for self defense and combat. But the founders of Tai chi were also well versed in the practice of Qi gong. It developed from the Martial art branch of Qi Gong to cultivate internal power & resilience.
Watch: 24 step form demonstrated my master Amin Wu - She brings beautiful flow to the practice.
Qigong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health though moving meditation, mental intention, breathwork, interoception and visualization.
Qigong opens the flow of energy in meridians used in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It enhances our ability to transform our own energy.
Qi gong is a free-form, that is very adaptive. Anyone in any condition may participate in Qi Gong, and may adjust its simple moves to their own level of physical ability. Qi gong is a system of wellness.
Simply put, Qi Gong is a "work-in" not a "work-out"
Qi gong healing is a form of treatment where a Qi Gong practitioner moves and balances the energy in another person. These sessions are usually quite short but very effective. As a trained Qi Gong healer, I detect the blockages of energy in the body and open them up to release the stuck energy. These sessions can be done in person or even remotely.
Qi Gong is a self-healing practice, but sometimes the body or the mind need a little kick start.
Synchronicity - Support - Connection
I teach small group Qi Gong practice sessions in Belgrade, Montana. One hour sessions in group settings. Beginners to advanced practitioners, all are welcome! Come once or as many times as you'd like, each session is a complete program. The type and style of practice will vary based on season and energy.
